The Montgenèvre ski resort

Passing place from ancient times, located 1860 meters high, Montgenevre, the eldest ski resort in France organizes in 1907 the first international ski competition.

In 1903, the first ski lift is built in the Prarial sector.

Today Montgenèvre has a ski area of 90 kilometers of slopes and 23 ski lifts.

It is connected to the Italian ski resorts of Clavière, Sestrières and Sauze d’Oulx, which makes one of the largest international ski area in Europe.

Extra ski activities are proposed such as balneo in Durancia, a balneo center, the longest rail tobbogan run in France, climbing, cross country sking, walking…
